3-HO-PCP

3-Hydroxyphencyclidine(also called 3-HO-PCP, Pcp-3-OH) is a substance of the arylcyclohexylamine class, can cause dissociative effects, euphoria.

History
3-HO-PCP was first developed in 1978, but has never been used in medicine and pharmaceuticals.

Chemistry
3-HO-PCP is a homologue of PCP and 3-MeO-PCP.
3-Hydroxyphencyclidine (3-HO-PCP) consists of cyclohexane, a saturated ring connected by two rings at the point R1, one of the rings is a piperidine ring, a nitrogen ring, it is bound by a nitrogen group, the other ring is a phenyl ring replaced in R3 by a hydroxyl group.

Pharmacology
3-HO-PCP is an antagonist of NMDA receptors, which causes a dissociative effect, anesthesia.
Animal studies have shown that this substance can be an agonist of the μ-opioid receptors.
This substance can cause both stimulation and dissociative effect, while these two effects can periodically replace each other, euphoria, anesthesia, spatial disorientation, dissociative effect, hallucinations appear.
Of the negative (side effects) these are high blood pressure, dizziness, respiratory depression, lack of appetite, dehydration.
