2-Bromodeschloroketamine(other names: 2-BDCK, 2-Br-2′-Oxo-PCM, Bromoketamine) is a dissociative substance of the arylcyclohexylamine class, a designer analog of ketamine with a similar chemical structure and effects.
Chemistry
2-Bromodeschloroketamine (2-BDCK) is the homologue of ketamine and deschloroketamine, the brominated version.
Pharmacology
This substance is a relatively new design, the toxicological and pharmacological properties of which are not fully understood and few data are available. It is intended in research studies as a comparison compound to study the metabolism of ketamine.
Trials in rats found that 2-BDCK can produce sedative, stimulant, dissociative and anesthetic effects similar to ketamine.
