α-PCyP (other names: alpha-Pcyp, alpha-Pyrrolidinocyclohexylphenone) is a substance of the cathinone class with a stimulant effect, developed as an analog of α-PVP, with a similar structure and effects.
History
It was first mentioned in 2015 and was marketed as a designer drug for research purposes.
Chemistry
α-PCyP is an alpha-cyclopentyl derivative of α-PVP.
Pharmacology
The toxicological and pharmacological properties of the drug are not fully understood. According to independent data and tests in rats, the drug has approximately the same in vitro efficacy as α-PVP as a dopamine transporter inhibitor and is about 2 times more potent than α-PVP.
